Just when I said I’m not going to buy anything Urban Decay again because I think my eyes are sensitive to something in the eyeshadow formulation, Ericke buys me this irresistibly dangerous The Feminine Palette. I could just give it back anyway, but so far I’m not tearing like I used to.
Bordello (frosty mauve), Skimp ( pearlescent vanilla cream), AC/DC (smoky purple with pink undertones), Gunmetal (dark metallic charcoal gray with silvery frost), Hijack (rich metallic teal), and Lost (warm bronzy brown) and one Lip Junkie in Wallflower (semi-opaque milky pink nude).
I think this is a revamped The Feminine Palette with more wearable smoky colors plus teal. Skimp is a beautiful highlighter, Bordello and Lost are better worn for daytime looks, but together with AC/DC or Hijack, these neutrals can be soft and edgy. I like combining Hijack + Gunmetal or AC/DC + Hijack with lots of Gunmetal on the outer corners for some drama.
Metallic eye makeup is so at the moment. For the look below I used Skimp on the browbone, AC/DC on the entire lid and smoked out the outer area with Gunmetal. The overexposed photos are from a cheap phone I borrowed, sorry.
The mini Wallflower Lip Junkie is too sheer for me. It’s nice and wearable, but I didn’t use it today.
