I’m finally done testing the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 PA++ in Warm Beige 3.5 a friend gave me. She’s about one shade lighter than my NC 30/35, but thinks warm beige 3.5 is too dark on her. Received the foundation in January, but forgot I had it til I was looking for a warmer tone ‘coz I got darker from SAR proficiency training. Had a few Bobbi Brown foundations in the past. yet I always went back to MAC Studio Finish powder (the most convenient, most comfortable product on my skin through all the humidity in the Philippines).
Let’s see why Kate Middleton favors Bobbi Brown.
And so before my birthday, I reached out for the Bobbi Brown bottle, swatched it on my face, took a photo and liked the color match and finish. It has the consistency of a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream. The weight is incredibly like nothing on, yet it is able to even out an imperfect skin, without having to apply so much. It’s pretty expensive that I’m reserving it for special occasions, and it’s supposed to be an everyday wear product, considering the nice sheer coverage and SPF content. Since I’m super oily, I have to layer loose powder all over and I’ve pretty figured out which one to wear depending on the peg. It sets to an airbrush-like finish, doesn’t cake, and freshness lasts quite long, like 4-5 hours, unless you sweat a lot. I’m not breaking out from it, so it makes it even much better.
For this look, I applied Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Warm Beige 3.5 with a finger and used a powder brush to layer MAC Skinfinish Natural Light on top, and then used a stippling brush to blend everything together after shaping with contour and highlight. Here is a warmer effect when I use Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Banana to seal in the foundation.
