A craving for ramen brought me to Little Tokyo in Downtown Los Angeles. Had an authentic one at Men Oh Tokushima on 2nd St.. The umami-rich broth of the Tokushima special was so delicious it was worth walking three blocks away from the Japanese Village Plaza where Sanrio and good mochi are.
Discovered ube getting global through the Blue Nova food truck parked on 1st St.. The specialty of this ice cream truck is organic ice cream rolled into pretty creations. Really got excited with my Ube Crunch, which turned out yummy.
I couldn’t leave the Sanrio store without anything My Melody or Hello Kitty. Oh, and before I forget, Twinkle Brown Sugar Tea (in the collage below) was a fine discovery.
