It’s a rainy Saturday in Ilocos. Allow me to share one more lipstick review before we go back to regular programming. For girls who like to express themselves through colors, there’s a current clean face + bold lip trend going on. I basically like muted fruity shades, but lately, I discovered that a bolder lip color brings instant verve to the face. In the photo above, I was wearing it with just BB cream, a light layer of powder and mascara.
Inspired by MAC’s bestselling Impassioned, I picked Sleek Candy Candy in sheen finish which is way cheaper, but still does a good job of delivering an opaque finish with just one swipe. It’s a watermelon pink that looks more coral under warm lights. Love the wearability of this bright. It doesn’t feather nor dry out the lips, but noticed it’s not a good lipstick to wear to eat out.
What I appreciate most about Sleek Makeup is the fact that you can sample true to the tube colors in their website (here). Complete swatches for fair, medium and dark complexions will guide you as you browse through their classic and on-trend colors.
Wore Candy Cane to a dim sum dinner with another bestie, Marla. Apologies, the lighting was so dim that this is the best we got.
